Whew. What a week, and it's only Tuesday!
In an attempt to keep my spirits up, I'm showing you a magical wishlist of sorts where I show you things I think have a magical element to them (or just things I want.. for example, the boots below).
Well, I would love a new pair of docs. Pretty much any time that I want to purchase shoes, it's always docs. HOWEVER, lately I've been thinking of trying out Minnetonka boots. I need a new pair of the regular mocs for summer (after the TOMS fiasco last year I've decided to revert back to my traditional summer shoe- minnetonkas) but I am diggin' the fringe on their boots! And even though the Dr Marten Triumph has been released in Navy, I own nothing like these Minnetonka boots. They are cute and the gray would be a great neutral color, and as much as I DO love my docs, sometimes I feel like my feet deserve a break! Docs are heavy, dammit! So if I could, I would LOVE a pair of these boots.
I love everything about this photo. I love her ink, her bare legs, her hair (it makes me want to cut mine all off again!). I especially love her cozy looking delicate smock-like top. I would love to add more tops like that to my wardrobe. (Tell me not to cut my hair. The more I look at this photo the more I want to cut it short. Tell me no!) Anyway, this photo over all inspires me and makes me happy when I look at it. So I thought I'd add it to the list.
I've wanted a deer antler head dress for a while now. There is something so wonderfully magical about it, and with my eyes being so ginormous I think I could work it. Looking at this pic, I'm super inspired. Maybe I'll try to craft my own magical antlers for a photo shoot for the blog.
I love this gorgeous sweater. I love how it looks like it was pieced together from other sweaters, and it gives me inspiration to try and patch together some old sweaters into a similar look! I think this is so adorable and if I had one, I would wear it every day.
I love the gorgeous fabric on this infinity scarf, and I love that there is a tutorial for making one yourself! I just got gifted a ton of fabric, so I might have to give this a shot. I love scarves and how warm they are - I think they definitely qualify as magical clothing, don't you?
I'm not usually a fan of the hi-lo hem, but on this dress with the extreme hemline and dramatic ruffle, I'm in love! This is a great bohemian look and I love how they paired it with this printed jacket. The whole outfit looks super cozy (and the Minnetonka boots again!!! <3 nbsp="" p="">
I'm a huge fan of Marilyn (who isn't?) and I love this pretty quote and picture of her. She's such a cutie.
I love this picture (I think it's from Free People but I can't for the life of me find this dress on their site). I love love love this dress and I REALLY love those tights, and I super super love that necklace. (Whole lotta love going on for this outfit.) My friend gifted me a certificate for Free People and I think I'm going to put it toward this necklace, actually. I've been admiring it for a long time. I just love how the outfit and the girl look ready for an adventure in this pic. Like she could be in a modern day fairy tale.
Well, I'm going to wrap this up because I've got buckets of homework due tonight. I don't feel like doing it, either. I wish I didn't have to be in school anymore. At the same time, at least I'm learning things. Like how much I really don't like being in school. I hope you enjoyed this week's Inspiration. Stay tuned for a Theme Wednesday post tomorrow! 3>
No wonder you love these things -- they're awesome!

I have Minnetonka Moccasins that I love - I've wanted to try their boots too! I think they're really cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat inspiration pix Meghan!!! I'm loving those boots, too!!! So COOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm normally not a huge fringe fan, but I am loving those boots. They are very mori-girl, very magical.
ReplyDeleteLove the look with the high-low hemline dress. I wouldn't do the shirred strapless bodice because I don't do strapless, but I love the fabric and the ruffle and the high top moccasins.
ReplyDeleteThat necklace just screams you. I say go for it!
