Personal Style: Snow Snow Snow

Shirt: Converse 1/Thrifted, Jeans: AE, Shoes: Dr Martens/Custom, Jacket: DOTS

These pictures were taken before Christmas. We got out first little snow of the year and the boss closed up shop and we went home early. Even though I had to do online work from home, I was super happy to be in my house and cozy under a blanket.

This is a rare outfit for me- unless you count the fix on the shoes, I'm not wearing anything I made! And while I felt cute, let me tell you it also felt weird. I don't know why but for some reason the things I make are almost a security blanket with me. I can't leave home without one. I've often wondered (especially lately) if I have some kind of disorder that I don't know about because it's harmless. I absolutely will feel on the verge of a tantrum if I can't find one thing I've made to wear. It's kind of disturbing when it's all laid out in type like that, but it's true.

We're expecting snow (Friday- today?). I'm kind of hoping it blows over and is no big deal because we're supposed to all go out after work and it would be nice to hang with my work peeps.

I'm also still sick, I think. I've been drinking lots of fluids, taking vitamins, and medicine, but I just feel tired. Super tired. I think winter might be starting to get to me. I'm sure it will all blow over soon, though. Probably just the beginnings of a cold.

AAAAaaaaanyway, I hope you all have a warm weekend! I've got a little plan for the blog next week (Yay Theme Wednesdays!) and I cannot, absolutely CANNOT, wait to share it with you.

  2. This is a really cute look even if it isn't anything you made! I understand though - you make some pretty awesome things, so I am sure it's hard to go out without a little something!

We have no snow here. And it's cold. Somehow that just doesn't seem right!

  4. Yah!! Snow!! It doesn't snow here in Wellington(well perhaps once every 30 years) so I love seeing snow pics. I don't think you have a disorder, just a desire to share your style with the world!

  6. I like that plaid shirt (I have been feeling plaids quite a bit lately.)

That's funny about your wearing something homemade quirk. I have this thing where I feel like a compliment isn't really a compliment unless it's about something I made. If that makes sense. So someone saying 'nice skirt' doesn't count unless I can say 'Thanks. I made it.'

Excited to see the Theme Wednesday post!

  8. I love to hear that you feel lost without your own gorgeous creations wrapped around your bod! Everything you've been making is joyful and makes me so happy!!! What I do like about this outfit is the layering - it would be so easy to just throw something on to wear to work on a very cold day, but you look divoooooon:) xoxo
