Personal Style: A Birthday

This is what I was wearing the day before my birthday! I had to work- we had the first painting class and I was my boss's assistant. It was really really fun! And look at what my manager bought me for my birthday- the OWL USB NECKLACE I put on my wishlist?! She is the absolute SWEETEST, isn't she?

It's beautiful. SO SO beautiful. :-) She also got me lotion, which is good because my hands are bleeding from the cold, and hand sanitizer so I don't get the flu. (It's been really bad in my area.) And that candy bar? Mmmmmmmm. Liz is the sweetest lady.

Also a sweet surprise- my boss's mom cleaned out her fabric stash. That's right- the trash bag and the box (which is stuffed so full I had to tape the lid on) is FULL of fabric!! I can't wait to get cracking on some projects!! It's so nice of them to think of me. :-)

And I got the sweetest card from Ally at Shybiker - And I really can't wait to send her some mail, too. :-)

Of course, the birthday isn't about what I got. I love the well wishes sent to me from my readers, my friends and my family. (After one year when facebook didn't remind anyone of my birthday, the simple words "Happy Birthday" have become more important to me than gifts- but still less important than cake. The year without a birthday was a lesson. Even my BFF at the time didn't remember on his own.) I love that you all made me feel so loved, it has really made me smile. Thank you so much.

My man made me chimichungas (favorite food), took me on a two hours shopping trip to JoAnn's, took me to Target to buy a blow dryer and watched three episodes of Columbo with me. He also got me the best gift I could have asked for. Don't really want to tell you what it is or why it means so much to me, but it couldn't be wrapped and it means something very special. :-) Love it. And him.

He also made me blow out a birthday candle, which I haven't done since I in my teens! All in all it was one of the best weekends and it was definitely magical. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

So once more, thank you thank you thank you all so so so much for putting up with my "It's my Birthday" this week (can't help it- Facebook's unreliability made me start telling people myself). It made all the difference. It's been a great week and I can't wait for the next few.
