This is a dream outfit post. When I was younger, I was obsessed with painting on my jeans. I still am- I just don't do it as often because... well, I don't know why but today we're going to fix that! This outfit is inspired by a photograph I saw once of Cher wearing a turquoise chastity belt and a pair of jeans with leather crosses appliqued down the leg. When I was younger, I replicated those jeans (with paint instead of applique) and wore them until I had to turn them into a skirt. That skirt ended up being the first thing I ever sold on etsy.
So here you go- I wore this outfit to work last week. It was super easy and comfy.

Lately I haven't had a lot to say and actually I've been staying off the internet. I've been reading and checking email but I think it's good for me to keep offline for a while. I will return, internet! I promise!
In the mean time, thank you all for the kind comments on my last post. :-) I hope you're all having an awesome start to the year.
Those are some awesome jeans! And a great idea. Enjoy the time off the internet. Sometimes we all need a little tech detox.
ReplyDeleteOoh I like your jeans! They are fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't feel bad about taking a little time away, there is nothing wrong with that!
So cool :) I just wrote "graffitis" on my jeans with permanent pens.. ;3

I like how the design is subtle yet still unique and fun. Excellent colour choices.
ReplyDeleteLOVE THESE!!!! Did you stencil or stamp??? I need to get some thrifted jeans and do this !!!
ReplyDeleteYour jeans are lovely and the design is so perfect - if I tried to do that I would mess it up so badly!
ReplyDeleteOh yay a megsraggededge post! I JUST saw this DIY on modcloth's blog and I absolutely love it. I hope you're enjoying your reading =]
ReplyDeleteDropped over from Megan Mae's blog. I love your jeans. When you get back from your internet break would you tell us how you did this? What paint and did you create your own stencil?
ReplyDeleteYour jeans are way cute! I wish I had steadier hands - it doesn't seem to go well when I try painting designs onto things.
