Here is a little OOTD for you, once again featuring the noisiest stray alive. She really is a little squeaker!
This skirt was a Punk Rock Flea Market find from spring two years ago. I got it at the Philly Aids Thrift booth and it was too large. So I took it in and put in an electric yellow zipper and new waist band. I really like it! It's still just a tiny bit too big and that makes me sad, but it fits well enough to wear out now. And who doesn't love black and white checked fabric?
Meg tested, Chirp approved.
I'm off to enjoy the new MCR music, coffee and work, and after work I'm going to try and clean up the house a little. And write!! I really want to finish this first book and do the first rough of the second before the spring semester starts up (not going to happen, but I'm going to try really hard).
I like the skirt. No reason, just do. Sometimes my judgment is inscrutable. The color of the sweater adds nice pizzazz. (Does "pizzazz" have 3 z's or 4?) (Did you know that the term pizzazz was invented by fashion icon Diana Vreeland?) (Did you know Vreeland pronounced her name "Dee-AHN"?) (There's a new biography of Vreeland out, from which I pulled these fascinating tidbits. Fascinating to me, that is. Please, somebody stop me; I'm cluttering up Meghan's blog and she's gonna get angry!)

Hello, Chirp! We've had a black cat lurking lately. I know she belongs to someone due to her collar, but I say hello whenever I see her.
ReplyDeleteI think the skirt looks fab! I have a black and white skirt that I think I need to wear tomorrow. It's been hanging on my clothing rack for weeks now. I promised myself no more black and white prints, but I bought it anyway. Oops!
what a beautiful kitty! i love your skirt.
