Fall is here! Well, kind of. The days are noticeably cooler and the nights are definitely chilly, but it's still about 75. That's okay, though, because I'm enjoying the weather! Even if it is still too hot for tights and boots.
Because fall is here, and because I'm so inspired by
Mori girls lately and the whole bohemian bug that seems to have bitten everyone, I figured I'd share with you a few of the photos that are heavily inspiring me this fall.
I love everything about this picture. I love her dark brown hair and pale skin, I love the flowers on her coat and the lace, but I pinned this because I love the head piece she is wearing. As you know, I've introduced hair flowers into my wardrobe lately, and I think I might try something larger like this next. It's so pretty!
Even if boot weather isn't quite here yet, I really want to try making these boot socks. This is a simple tutorial and I'm sure these would work with zig-zag stitching, but it's really making me miss my serger! I need it back so I can tackle these cool sweater crafts!
I think this girl is beautiful. I love her dark brown pixie cut, her nose ring and her freckles. Her eyes and eye make-up is gorgeous. BUT I think what I love best is her tattoos. I think this is a neat idea and it looks so good on her!
I've been coveting these shoes for a while. I keep complaining that I need shoes that aren't Chucks to wear to work because I'm wearing down my chucks (and frankly getting a little bored with the same shoe every day- is that okay? Am I allowed to be bored of my shoes? With my shoes? I don't know!). I like that these are black and white, and kind of funky, but classic enough to match most of my dresses (or at least "go" with most of my dresses!)
While stalking Mori girls on Pinterest, I came across this pin. I love the polka dot dress and as soon as I find the perfect polka dot fabric I will make myself one, but I have to say this cardi is to die for! I love it! I think I have a cardi I could easily DIY a little kitty onto (because thanks to work it now has a large oil stain on the front). Isn't it sweet?
Speaking of work, here is a pic from Phantastic Phind's before and after page. I didn't really like this desk much when we got it in the shop, but seeing it displayed with that cool mirror and chair, it really makes me wish I had a desk! I hope one day, when I set up the back room the way that I want to, that I can have a little desk of my own.
I liked this look so much I apparently pinned it twice. I love the earthy tones in the sweater, and I'm a huge Moccasin fan, but I have to say these patched skinnies are the reason I re-pinned it both times! I love them! Easy to DIY - I'll have to search for some jeans next time I go thrifting.
This GORGEOUS MCR fan picture is amazing. The pin says it was pinned from iPhone, so if this is your work or you know whose it is, please leave a comment with the name of your website so I can link to it. This is lovely and I'd love to give credit to you! PS- MCR is releasing two new songs each month for the next 5 months, and the first two come while I'm on mini-vacation from work. As you can imagine, I am SOOO not taking my headphones off for the entire three days I'm away.
I love this hoodie from ModCloth. I think it's beautiful and I love the trims. Sadface is that it's out of my budget and it's already sold out in larger sizes anyway, so I'm looking in my closet for a hoodie I can patch some lace onto. This is like, hipster hoodie meets Mori girl. I kind of love it.
Everything about this picture inspires me right now. I love the boots, the boot socks, the layers and the scarf. I wouldn't have these things in white, but if it were a different color (like gray!) I would have this whole outfit! I love the detailing on the dress and the vintage trim necklace. It gives this a cozy, bohemian vibe. Love it!
The whole time I was
DIYing my jacket, I kept this post from Rookie Mag in my head. Like I said, I didn't want to have to patch my jacket, but since I did I might as well have embellished it anyway, right? I love the looks featured in this post. And these ladies all look so cool! I think the girl with the polka dot tights and the girl in the backpack are my two favorite looks in this particular shot. Head over to Rookie to see them all.
This girl's whole look is awesome. I love her hair, I love her layering, and I love that collar. The reason I re-pinned this, though, is that adorable little vest. I keep thinking I need one because it would look so sweet layered over my
Lisette Dresses.
I don't know what I can say except everything about this picture is something I love. Her hair=awesome, her shirt=awesome, her cardi=awesome, her rosary and cuff =awesome, the gigantic ring and hair feathers=awesome. Just everything about this is awesome.
We're trying to get the house cleaned and the back room is really holding us up. I really need to go through there and get rid of some of my old craft projects. Once it's clean, it's pretty much going to be the home of my craft stuff, which means it needs to be adorable or I won't want to go in there. So I'm thinking of installing some of these shelves to make it feel more like a Meg-nest.
Because we're decorating and nesting right now, I'm on a home decor kick (also, I work in a furniture store). If I weren't with my boyfriend right now, whose style is more minimalist than mine, this is probably what my bedroom would look like. Soft blues and purples, posters and canopies- I love this pic.
I'm also a fan of big cushions, vintage frames and painted furniture. I love that little secretary thing that is painted green and white, and I love the bunting by the window. Actually, hanging a curtain from a branch is a pretty neat idea, too!
I go on weekend trips a lot. Wicked Faire, Boston, back to Maryland to see my folks- I never seem to go on long vacations. It's always about just two days away. My suitcase that my grandma is finally breaking down and my duffel bag is ... really... not cute... so every time I see cute weekend bags I drool over them. I love this one because it looks vintage but it also has text, two of my favorite things, and it includes rock n' roll! I'm really trying to figure out how I could DIY this bag.
I'm inspired by apothecary decor, cloche jars and curiosity stuff right now, and this little display is so adorable! I love the wine glass turned upside down, the clear glass vase made into a cloche and the fishbowl. I think I'm going to need to find room in my house for something like this.
This dress (this whole store, but also the dress) is one of my favorite pins lately. I love the gypsy feel that it has and I'd like to make one like it! If I didn't have a natural tendency to use only neon colors, I would definitely wear an outfit like this.
Finally, one of my favorite pics, this beautiful rose on a wooden floor. If I ever achieve my life long dream of owning my own little home, I will do this to the floors. I promise! It will be done.
Well, I'm off to do stuff. I hope you find my little list as inspiring as I have. I really love doing these pinsperation posts for you.
Yah! So many pretty things - I love it when you do this posts. This time round the cardi with the cat on it has to be my favourite:)
ReplyDeleteSometimes I think you and I are the only ones, lol! But I do enjoy doing them. :-)
DeleteYou always find the best pinpseration! These photographs are beautiful - I especially love that first headpiece.
