I don't know why. It's not spring, it's fall, and I think yellow is associated with spring/summer more than fall, but I definitely wanted a yellow dress. So when boyfriend and I went down to South Street last week and I saw this vintage acidy yellow-green bed sheet, I knew I'd found my dress.

Even though I love my new boots, I really love these. My new boots are going to get a review, actually, because I'm a little concerned about the quality. Even though my new boots rock, these grey boots are DIYed and customed to fit ME and they are trusty little boots.
I still can't seem to get a clear shot of this fabric! BUT you can see how pretty these vintage roses are. I love them.
We are battening down the hatches for some killer storm that is supposed to hit Philly. My boyfriend, a storm nut, is kind of excited and in order to keep myself from being too freaked out I'm pretending we're getting ready for the zombie apocalypse.
Only without the guns.
I'm sure we'll be fine, but just in case I'm scheduling the next few posts- a DIY inspiration post for Tuesday and my super secret Halloween costume (that is unfortunately trendy this year- I didn't realize how many other people are going as the same damn thing!). Until then! xoxo
Lovely vintage pattern. Love it how some pees can pull off florals with edge :)

Oooo stay safe! Can't wait to see your costume =]
ReplyDeleteKeep Safe my lovely! Good to see your updates on FB so I know you are safe! Another lovely frock, I love the floral boarder along the bottom.
ReplyDeleteLara- Thank you! I love the florals on it. :-)
ReplyDeleteJess- Thanks! We haven't lost power and I think the storm is over so that's nice. The winds though! WOW
Trees- Thank you, honey! I figured you and my other friends (and mom) might feel better if I said something smart ass every ten minutes to let you know I'm okay. :-)
Love this dress. My friend always has great sheet finds and makes cute retro dresses out of them. It's especially fantastic when the print works out, like it did with the border on yours.
ReplyDelete(PS I know had was absent for a bit, but I have to say how much I love this newest evolution of your style with the super cute dresses. It's a very flattering look on you!)
Ooooo, you know how much I love yellow! This dress is gorgeous, and it looks like such a lovely shade of yellow. I've got to get into gear and make myself some more yellow things.
