OOTD: Whoops !

You know that I dyed my hair red over the blonde right? Well, because I'd just bleached it a week before, I didn't want to use permanent dye even though I wanted a lighter orangey red color. So I decided to use a semi-permanent color that I could mix into my conditioner.

Oh shit.

I really wanted to dye it something that would be more professional. Sometimes I have problems with people thinking I'm a lot younger than I am when it's purple or something, and since I want to be more responsible in my life I figured a fun red would be the solution. Alas. The above picture is TOO FREAKING RED.

So I had to go back to the CVS, get permanent dye anyway, and try to dye over the freaking clown red my hair had turned. Which meant bye bye any chance at orange red because it was going to need to be darker.

I ended up with the color below. It's purpley and burgundy and I kind of hate that because I'd had this color for soooooo long before. I am grateful that it doesn't have an auburn tint, though. It is a pretty red tone. And my hair seems a little happier. It even got curly today.

Tee: Reconstructed, Jeans: AE, Thrifted, Chucks: Journeys,

I guess this top is a little big. I used that polka dot top from last week as the pattern and it took about three tee shirts to make this one shirt, but I really like the look. I like the print on the sleeve and I like the harlequin-type look that it has. I really really like it. Maybe I'll even do a tutorial!

I have a ton more of these tops (okay, like six) so I can't wait to show them to you!

I don't know what it is about this style top, especially because I know it's huge on me, but I feel like a rock star when I wear these. :-) I think this one and my MCR one are my faves, but oh wait! You haven't seen that one yet.

  1. I'm glad you got a colour you liked in the end! Looking forward to seeing your other tops, I wish I could be more motivated to do more sewing at the moment.
