OOTD: Eighties Love

I don't know what it is about this shirt. It's worn out, obviously vintage 80's gear, and totally metallic and just a little hideous/too big, but I freakin' love this shirt! I mean, seriously, I've worn it at least twice a week since getting it! I don't know why but it makes me feel so pretty! (And I tried it on with a cardi- equally awesome!)

Chucks: Journeys, Jeans: AE - Thrifted, Shirt: Buffalo Exchange, Cameo: Meg's Ragged Edge

Those are my headphones, which I almost always wear.  I mean, I have an MP3 player with a 15 hour battery life and I have to charge it almost every day. That is how much I have my music on.

Especially since taking up writing again. I need music for almost everything I do. I need it while I'm waiting for the bus, walking, working on projects, writing, blogging- rarely do I ever crave quiet. I love my music and noise. I even wear my head phones to bed sometimes. I know it's bad for me. I'll probably be deaf one day, but at least I'll have gotten a fair amount of music time before then.

I'm so tired this week from cleaning! I get up, go to Starbucks and write for about 30-40 minutes before going to work. I try really hard to work hard every day. I want to be the best employee I can be (because my two bosses are awesome - Liz and Ang- and I want to be my best for them). Then, I come home and clean non-stop for the boyfriend, whose sister is visiting in just three days. It's been a really hard week with very little if any time to rest. I'm so exhausted. But I know life will be better for us once it's over. Already the living room looks great. I can't wait to do a little home tour with you guys!

Close-up of some of my favorite jewelry of all time. I adore my leather thunderbird cuff. The celtic dragon ring is one of my oldest pieces of jewelry. And I made that beaded moonstone ring myself! It's not really moonstone, it's one of those shells, but I think it has that same look. I love it!

Alright, kids, I'm peacin' out for the night. I hope you are all having a great summer!

  1. I like the thrifted top too and if you're wearing it so much, I'm wonderin' why I haven't seen it sooner. It's got a good drape on you. Here's hoping that the visit with the fella's sister goes well. I want to see the tour.

  2. It sounds like you're super busy right now! I can't wait to see your house tour pictures. I think that the 80's top looks pretty rad too :D

  3. I love that top so much! It is really cute, and I agree with Terri, it drapes beautifully on you. I really like the close-ups of all your jewelery too!

  4. Your '80's top is rad but I think it needs a bit of tweaking- the fabric is perf for you but it looks too big. How about you a)crop it or b)put some darts so that your waistline shows?

  5. Terri- Lol my mom said she agreed with you! (She texted me that she liked my shirt. I didn't even know she could see my blog!) The only thing I've found is that the silver dots seem to be rubbing off. I wonder if I should repaint them back on?

TREES: SO BUSY I WANT TO DIE A LITTLE! I can't wait to show you guys what it looks like (even though it's boring, at least it's clean).

Stacey: Mwah!! Thank you. I think I'm actually going to do a little jewelry collection show off thing because jewelry is such a big deal to me. I have a shitload of it. Excuse me. I mean "ton".

Bella: THANKS! It is too big, but it was such a small change to make it a little tighter that I was too lazy to try. Besides, I kind of hate tight things (which you'll see soon when I review my latest threadless purchase). I love your suggestions though!
