I'm getting stuff together for my trip to Boston. Not going to lie, getting a little nervous! I'm taking an overnight train all alone! It's going to be fun though. I'll read until late in the night, fall asleep and wake up in time for EPIC THRIFTING WEEKEND! (Do my friends know me or what?)
I put together a mini wishlist. Maybe I'll find some awesome things when I go thrifting with Brenna this weekend. Can't wait to tell you all about it!
I really miss my dansko clogs! They were so comfy. I think if I got another pair, though, I would go for a more Mary Jane style. The ones on top are my favorite but I do love the bottom pair, too.
I want that girls outfit so bad! Stripe t-shirt dress, docs, cute hair- I love this photo set from the Dr Martens website. I hope they come out with 14 eyes in more colors- I missed out on the purple ones and really hope they bring them back in the fall. LOVE docs.
I saw this image on Pinterest which sent me over to etsy. I am in love with both the hat and the dress. I LOVE that dress! And how clever to take an old nightie and turn it into a beautiful baby doll dress. I would wear this. And feel like a mermaid. Because wouldn't an undercover mermaid where a sparkly hat and seafoam dress? I think so.
Another Pinterest find- these great pics of fashion from the 60's-70's. I adore those tights! And the mini dresses! I might have been born in the wrong decade...
I found this on Pinterest, too, but I can't find where I pinned it. It makes me smile, but a little sad at the same time. They won't know what it's like to rewind stuff either. You know what I miss? Cassette tapes. I never left home without at least 5 tapes and my walkman. Oh nostalgia.
I don't think I would ever put that patch on anything, but other than that I love everything about this outfit. The colorful head band, the lace dress, the tough vest. I would wear this.
I love these shoes. If I weren't so lazy I would use
this tutorial to make them. They are tough and cute.
I tried to paste the source of the pin, but for some reason the website kept timing out. :-( I would love an excuse to make these! Aren't the adorable?
I found this on etsy one night when I was searching for vintage stuff. I just love it. It's so pretty and springy, and it is the perfect lavender color. Sigh. Adore.
Those are the things on my wishlist this week! I'll talk to you when I return from my adventure!

Great list! I especially love the sparkly beret, I want to make the skeleton dolls too:)
ReplyDeleteHappy thrifting...I hope you come across some Danskos! We were very slow to make the transition away from cassettes. DH had recordings on cassette, and CDs before I broke down and bought him his iPod.
ReplyDeleteThis wishlist is absolutely dreamy. I can't decide which I like best - although it is probably the undercover mermaid outfit. Happy thrifting!
